The Nordpark is a green area opened to the public in 2000 in the Berlin district of Rudow in the Neukölln district .
Location and history
The park is located in the southern part of Rudow and is bordered by Knollstrasse in the northwest , Schönefelder Strasse in the west , Waltersdorfer Chaussee in the east and Ursulinenstrasse in the south . The park was created in 2000 in connection with the construction of the adjacent garden city Rudow-Süd , in which the Frauenviertel and Südpark are also located. The park, together with the quarter and the south adjoining Südpark, which runs parallel to the Nordpark, forms the transition to the state border with Brandenburg .
layout
In the western part of the park, the district has created a spacious green area with seating. This is followed by a children's playground in the eastern part , known as the Robin Hood theme park . The north park essentially consists of a large, predominantly wooden castle complex with slides and climbing opportunities, a village and a stylized Sherwood Forest . For smaller children there is a play area in the southern part with characters from the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel . A sports and soccer field form the eastern end .
