Norm Crosby
Norman Lawrence Crosby (born September 15, 1927 in Dorchester , Boston , Massachusetts ; † November 7, 2020 in Los Angeles , California ), often also called The Master of Malaprop ( German : Master of Malapropism ), was a sometimes with the Borscht Belt related American comedian .
Life
His father was John Crosby and his mother Ann Lansky.
In 1968, he co- hosted NBC 's The Beautiful Phyllis Diller Show . In 1974 he co-hosted the Canadian television series Everything Goes . From 1978 to 1981, Crosby hosted the nationally broadcast series The Comedy Shop , also known as Norm Crosby Comedy Shop . From 1983, Crosby co-hosted the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon annual benefit concert . It has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6560 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles.
He married Joan Crane Foley on November 1, 1966 and has two sons with her.
