Norman Thavaud
Norman Thavaud (born April 4, 1987 in Arras ), better known by his first name Norman , is a French YouTuber and actor . His channel Norman fait des vidéos (French for Norman makes videos ) has over 11 million subscribers (as of January 2019).
Life
Thavaud was born in Arras in the French department of Pas-de-Calais in 1987 . His mother was a geography and history teacher and died of cancer when he was a child, and his father was the director of a film school. He has lived in Paris since 2002 . He currently lives in a shared flat for two in Montreuil .
Online career
Even before Thavaud started the Norman fait des vidéos channel , he and the French YouTuber Hugo Tout Seul formed the group Le Velcrou (based on the French market name for Velcro fasteners, Velcro ). From March 2008 they jointly published videos on the video platform Dailymotion . In late 2010, Thavaud started his own channel and released his first video on January 3, 2011, Le Club de Ping Pong ( The Table Tennis Club ). In it he told of his experiences in a table tennis club . Two months later, he released a video called Les Bilingues ( The Bilingual People ) that would long remain his most watched video. In September 2015 he published Mario Clash Luigi, his most successful video to date with almost 74 million views (as of January 2019).
Stage career
Since 2015 Thavaud has also appeared on stage in his own one-man show . In the second half of the year he toured many halls in France, Switzerland and Belgium. The show was extended to May 2016.
