Michael Francino

Michael Francino is a Canadian civil servant and United Nations employee .

Career

Francino received his education in the United Kingdom . From 1967 to 1996 he worked in Canada in senior positions at the Statistical Office, the Treasury Department and the Tax Office. From March 2000 to September 2001 Francino worked for the United Nations in East Timor . In the first interim government under the interim administration of the United Nations for East Timor (UNTAET), he was Minister of Finance from July 2000 and was responsible for the 2000/2001 and 2001/2002 budgets. In addition, Francino was the head of the central financial authority.

In 2003 Francino was an advisor in the Afghanistan Ministry of Finance .
