The North Pole Brook ( Montagnais name: Kauashikanepinanut-shipiss ) is an approximately 55 km long right tributary of the Naskaupi River in the central east of Labrador in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador .
River course
The North Pole Brook forms the outflow of a small, nameless lake 460 m high. The North Pole Brook flows mainly in an easterly direction. It flows through the Ushtikuanatshik ᐡ and Kauashikanepinanut lakes . Finally, the North Pole Brook flows into the Naskaupi River at the level of the North Pole Rapids , about 60 km above its confluence with the Grand Lake .
The catchment area covers about 270 km². It is bordered by the Red Wine River to the south and the Wapustan River to the north .
