Bjørn Magnussen (born January 2, 1998 ) is a Norwegian speed skater .

Career

Magnussen had his first international success at the Junior World Championships 2015 in Warsaw . There he won the silver medal in the team sprint. He also came in 43rd place over 1000 m and 15th place over 500 m. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season he made his debut in Heerenveen in the speed skating World Cup , finishing 24th in the B World Cup over 500 m and second in the team sprint. At the following World Cup in Calgary he was again second in the team sprint and won his first World Cup victory in the team sprint at the World Cup finals in Minsk . At the European Championships in Kolomna in 2018 , he came in 15th place over 500 m and fourth in the team sprint. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, he again finished second in the team sprint at the World Cup in Obihiro .
