Nossa Senhora da Boa Fé is a locality and former municipality in Portugal .
history
The present-day place was probably built long after the medieval Reconquista . The first records date from the 16th century. With the Ponte do Lagar da Boa Fé , a 27-meter-long, three-arched bridge from the 17th century has been preserved as part of a trade route from Évora to Alcácer do Sal.
In the 16th century the place became an independent municipality. In 1911 it was dissolved and affiliated to the community of Nossa Senhora da Graça do Divor , and in 1926 to the newly created community of São Sebastião da Giesteira .
On December 31, 1936, Nossa Senhora da Boa Fé became an independent municipality again, until it was dissolved again with the territorial reform in 2013 and merged with São Sebastião da Giesteira to form a new municipality.

With the administrative reorganization in Portugal on September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Nossa Senhora da Boa Fé and São Sebastião da Giesteira were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de São Sebastião da Giesteira e Nossa Senhora da Boa Fé . The seat of the new municipality was São Sebastião da Giesteira.
