Notker Baumann

Notker Baumann (* 1975 in Konstanz ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and church historian .

Life

He studied theology and philosophy in Freiburg im Breisgau , Innsbruck and Rome . Christoph Cardinal Schönborn ordained him on October 10, 2002 in Rome as a priest. Afterwards he was prefect at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as a chaplain and parish administrator in Lauda , then until 2016 as a chaplain in the pastoral care unit Grünsfeld - Wittighausen . From 2008 to 2012 he taught at the grammar school in Lauda. After his habilitation in 2016, he received a teaching qualification at the University of Würzburg . From the 2016/17 winter semester he was a substitute professor at the University of Erfurt . On October 1, 2018, he was appointed Professor of Church History and Patrology at the Theological Faculty in Fulda .
