Notre-Dame (Moret-sur-Loing)
Notre Dame is a three-nave Gothic hall church with transept in the French town of Moret-Loing et Orvanne in the Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It has been classified as an architectural monument ( Monument historique ) since 1840 .
The church was built between the 13th and 15th centuries on the site of a previous church. The main nave is 46 m long and 21 m high. It is particularly remarkable in an organ from the years 1530-1540 a Renaissance - organ from the 16th century. Until 2001, the prospectus stood empty for a century and a half without organ pipes . The work, restored by master organ builder Michel Giroud , has 15 registers with 1038 pipes.
Alfred Sisley (1839–1899), who lived in the city, painted Notre-Dame de Moret in 14 pictures.
