The Novoferm GmbH is a manufacturer of doors, gates, door frames and drives for private, commercial and industrial use. based in Rees (North Rhine-Westphalia). The company has been part of the Japanese Sanwa Group (owned by Sanwa Holdings Corporation) since 2003. The Novoferm Group produces at various locations in Europe and Asia and sells products through national companies and sales partners. Novoferm employs around 2,500 people. The predecessor was Isselwerk Werth GmbH.
history
In 1955 Isselwerk Werth GmbH was founded. In 1962 the metal door works was founded in Haldern. In 1970 Isselwerk Werth and Metalltürenwerke Haldern merged to form Isselwerke GmbH & Co. KG, and Hoesch AG took over 25% of the company's shares. In 1990 the company was 100% taken over by Hoesch AG. In 1992 the name was changed to Novoferm GmbH, shares were acquired in the Netherlands and sales companies were founded in the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary and Switzerland. In 1993, the gradual acquisition of "Siebau Siegener Stahlbauten" and "Riexinger Türwerke" began. In 1994, Novoferm Belgium NV was founded. In 1997, Lutermax SA / France was acquired. 1998 saw the opening of the Dortmund plant as a sectional door plant in Europe. In 2000 a joint venture was established with Dong Bang Steel Door Inc./Korea. In 2001 Tormatic GmbH (drive technology) was taken over. In 2003 the Novoferm Group was taken over by the Japanese Sanwa Group. Novoferm bought TST Tor System Technik in 2004. In 2006 bemo Brandschutzsysteme GmbH was acquired and Novoferm Door was founded in Poland. In 2008 the DSS Docking Solutions und Service GmbH was founded and in 2010 the Novoferm Vertriebsgesellschaft, which bundles the sales activities in Germany. In 2014 Alpha Deuren International BV was acquired. Furthermore, the French group Norsud was taken over in 2016.
Locations
The headquarters and the central administration are located in the Rees district of Haldern on the Lower Rhine. German production facilities are located next to Haldern (production of doors) in Isselburg (production of up-and-over doors and frames), Dortmund (production of sectional doors and drives) and Brackenheim (production of doors).
Novoferm is represented in Europe and Asia with 14 production sites and 25 sales companies or partners.
