Nowe Czarnowo ( German  Neu Zarnow ) is a place in Poland that belongs to the municipality of Gryfino (Greifenhagen).

history

Neu Zarnow was founded around 1819. As early as 1842 the village comprised more than thirty houses and was therefore larger than, for example, the neighboring Klein Zarnow . When exactly all settlements with the name part -Zarnow were divided into independent communities is unknown. Neu Zarnow belonged to Germany until 1945.

The village currently has 582 inhabitants (as of 2017) and covers about 159 hectares . Nowe Czarnowo had a train station on the Breslau – Stettin line , and the place does not have its own church. The small river Pinne flows past the village . Only one kilometer away from Nowe Czarnowo is the Unteroder power station (a coal-fired power station ), and about one and a half kilometers northeast of the village is the mysterious “ Crooked Forest ”.
