Nozomi Yamagō ( Japanese 山 郷 の ぞ み , Yamagō Nozomi ; born January 16, 1975 in Ōmiya (today: Saitama ), Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .
Club career
Yamagō played from 1993 to 1999 for FC Kunoichi ; In 2002 she moved to the Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies . In January 2005, she signed a contract with California Storm in the North American WPSL , but that same year she returned to Japan.
National team
Yamagō completed their first international match for the Japanese national team on June 15, 1997 against China . She played at the 3rd Women's World Cup in 1999 and also at the 4th Women's World Cup in 2003 in all six games, at the 6th Women's World Cup in 2011 in Germany, Yamagō was in the team, but she did not play. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , she played three games in Japan.
