The Nuka River is a right tributary of the Colville River in northern Alaska .
Its source is on the northeast flank of Thunder Mountain in the De Long Mountains . It flows in a northeast direction and flows 27 km northwest of Liberator Lake into the Colville River, which flows through the North Slope to the Arctic Ocean . The Nuka River is one of many rivers and streams that feed the Colville River from the northern flank of the Brooks Range .
The name of the river was first documented in 1925 by Gerald Fitzgerald of the United States Geological Survey .
