Numonyx was a semiconductor manufacturer specializing in flash memory that was created through a joint venture between Intel , STMicroelectronics and Francisco Partners.

The company was registered in Amsterdam in September 2007 and began operations in early April 2008. Intel and STMicroelectronics merged their memory lines. The focus was on flash memory and phase change memory (PCM) . The operational headquarters were in Switzerland, in Rolle VD . The company was led by the CEO Brian Harrison, a former Intel VP and the COO Mario Licciardello, a former CVP of STMicroelectronics. The main shareholders of Numonyx were STMicroelectronics with 48.6% of the shares and Intel with 45.1% of the shares. The rest fell to Francisco Partners. In the spring of 2010 Numonyx started the series production of phase change accumulators.

In February 2010, the complete acquisition of Numonyx by Micron Technology was announced. The transaction closed on May 7, 2010. Since then, the company's activities have been continued by Micron Technology.
