Nurhan Atasoy (born February 12, 1934 in Tokat , Turkey ) is a Turkish art historian with a focus on Turkish-Islamic art.

Life

Atasoy studied at the University of Istanbul with the Turkish art historian Oktay Aslanapa , where he also received his doctorate. Until 1999 she worked there as a professor of art history. She wrote some standard works on the clothing of Ottoman sultans and on Turkish tiles ( İznik ceramics and Kütahya çinileri ).

Until 2015 she took part in the history show Tarihin Arka Odası with Murat Bardakçı and Erhan Afyoncu as an expert on Ottoman art .
