The OMEG house is a historic administrative and residential building in the Namibian coastal town of Swakopmund . It has been a National Monument of Namibia since September 19, 1975 .
The house was built as the administration building of the Otavi Mining and Railway Company (OMEG). Together with the neighboring Otavi train station, it has belonged to the Swakopmund Scientific Society since 1971 .
A far-reaching renovation of the OMEG building and the train station has been planned since August 2014.
