Oberbechingen is a part of the municipality of Bachhagel in the district of Swabia ( Bavaria ) in the district of Dillingen an der Donau .

geography

Oberbechingen is located in the Bachtal in the northwest of the district of Dillingen on the Danube in northern Swabia in Bavaria on the border with Baden-Württemberg .

The church village lies at an altitude of 479  m above sea level. NN and has 427 inhabitants.

history

Oberbechingen was first mentioned in 1143.

Like Bachhagel , it belonged to the Principality of Pfalz-Neuburg . Prince Otthenrich sold Oberbechingen so that from 1581 it belonged to Hans Caspar Roth von Schreckenstein , who built the castle.

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community was incorporated into the Bachhagel community.

Infrastructure

In Oberbechingen there is a parish hall (built in 2002) and a renovated parsonage (2004). There is also a lock .
