Upper landlord in Gern

The Obere Wirt in Gern , a district of Eggenfelden in the Lower Bavarian district of Rottal-Inn , is a former inn . The building is a protected monument .

The two-storey solid building with a steep pitched roof and cornice structure was built in the 16th century. He belongs to the Hofmark Gern ensemble . The building was built on the foundations of a medieval vaulted cellar with barrel and cross vaults .

In 2014 the building stood empty and was offered for sale.

In 2019 the building was renovated and returned to its original use with the catering and boarding house.
