The Upper Victoria Firn Field is a 25 km 2 large firn field in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It lies at the head of the Upper Victoria Glacier east of The Fortress Plateau between the Clare Range and the Cruzen Range .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the firn field in 2005 based on the name of the Upper Victoria Glacier. Its namesake is the Alma Mater of the Victoria University of Wellington , organizer of the research series of the Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions , which began in 1957 .
