Oberhausen is part of the municipality of Petershausen in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .

geography

Oberhausen is the northernmost district of Petershausen, on the border between the districts of Dachau and Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . Oberhausen is in an elevated position in the Ilm Valley. To the east lie the Mühlberg and Laushamer Holz, to the southwest the Petershauser Holz. To the northwest lies Steinkirchen and to the north is Pischelsdorf . It is about 3.6 km to Petershausen to the south.

history

The town of Oberhausen was first mentioned in a document in 1037 as " Rutpendet de Operanhusen ". Oberhausen appears in documents from the Counts of Ebersberg around the year 1000. The church of St.Stefan in Oberhausen today belongs to the parish of Steinkirchen (Pfaffenhofen district). In the Konradinischen matriculation from 1315 it is described as a branch of the parish Haunstetten ("Hausstetn cum Obernhausen"). In the baroque period, St. George was still venerated as the church patron.

In the tabular description of the Diocese of Freysing according to the order of the Decanate of 1820, St Stephen and St George Oberhausen is named as a branch church of the Pischelsdorf parish. There lived 41 believers in 7 houses.
