Oberland (Auengrund)

Oberland was a short-lived community in the Thuringian district of Hildburghausen .

The municipality of Oberland was created on March 23, 1993 from the merger of the municipalities of Brattendorf , Merbelsrod , Poppenwind and Schwarzbach . The dissolution took place on January 1, 1996 through the merger with the communities of Crock and Wiedersbach to form the new community of Auengrund . All three municipalities were previously united in the Auengrund administrative community .

On December 31, 1994 the community had 1885 inhabitants. A year later it was 1903 inhabitants.
