Ocean Infinity is an American company that is dedicated to mapping the ocean floor .

Ocean Infinity, based in Houston, Texas, was founded in July 2017. According to Sky News , Anthony Clake, a UK partner in the Marshall Wace hedge fund and investor in several salvage companies, is the main shareholder. The South China Morning Post found the company to be associated with several individuals and organizations interested in seabed exploration .

Shortly after it was founded, the company rented the Norwegian ship Seabed Constructor for six years , which is equipped with two remote-controlled underwater vehicles , six autonomous underwater vehicles and eight drone ships , which can search up to 1000 km² of seabed every day. In July 2018 , Ocean Infinity chartered the supply ship Island Pride .

Ocean Infinity was involved in the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 at the beginning of 2018 and used the rented ship Seabed Constructor between January and May. In November of the same year, the Seabed Constructor found the wreck of the Argentine submarine San Juan (S-42) , which had sunk a year earlier. At the end of December 2018, Ocean Infinity was commissioned by the South Korean government to search for the wreck of the sunken bulk carrier Stellar Daisy , which sank in the South Atlantic off the coast of Uruguay in March 2017 . On February 17, 2019, the company announced that it believed it had found the shipwreck and recovered its Voyage Data Recorder shortly afterwards .

In addition to the well-known wreck searches, Ocean Infinity mapped the Scarborough gas field, west of Australia , in 2018 .

In spring 2019 the wreck of the cargo ship Grande-America was located by the Island Pride of Ocean Infinity and then inspected on March 30th with their underwater vehicles. In July 2019, the company found the French submarine Minerve 50 years after its sinking. In May 2020, the wreck of the USS Nevada, sunk in 1948, was discovered 65 nautical miles southwest of Pearl Harbor .
