Ochsenthal is a place in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen . As a district of Morlesau it belongs to Hammelburg .

Geographical location

Ochsenthal is located southeast of Morlesau, which in turn is west of Hammelburg. The Sodenberg is located south of Ochsenthal .

The thoroughfare from Ochsenthal leads south and west into a dead end, north to Morlesau.

history

The first known mention of the place comes from 1320.

Since its existence the place belonged to the parish Wolfsmünster, but was looked after by the old town monastery from 1722 due to the distance to Wolfsmünster . The local St. Odilia Church was possibly built around 1300 . In 1976 Ochsenthal came to the parish of Windheim .
