Untereschenbach is a district of the Bavarian city of Hammelburg in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen .

Untereschenbach is located west of Hammelburg on the B27 , which leads from Untereschenbach to Obereschenbach .

history

The first known mention comes from January 7th, 777. A deed of donation from Charlemagne to the Fulda monastery is dated to this day , in which the place "Achynebach" is named.

On July 1, 1970, the place was incorporated into Obereschenbach , which became a district of Hammelburg on April 1, 1972 as part of the municipal reform.
