Octavian Abrudan (born March 16, 1984 in Cluj-Napoca , Cluj County ) is a Romanian football player . The central defender has been under contract with Universitatea Cluj in Liga II since September 2016 .

Career

At the age of 15 Abrudan came into the squad of his home club Universitatea Cluj , which played in the Romanian second division at the time. In the beginning it was only used sporadically, but from 2003 onwards it was used for significantly longer periods. In the summer of 2005 Abrudan left "U Cluj" and moved to Divizia A (now Liga 1 ) to Gloria Bistrița . There he became a regular player in the 2006/07 season, but joined FC Brașov in the 2007/08 winter break , which played in League II .

In Brașov he managed to return to the House of Lords at the end of the season. After two seasons he moved to Steaua Bucharest in summer 2010 , where he signed a contract until summer 2013. After the first half of the season he left Steaua and returned to his hometown club "U Cluj". However, it was only used irregularly there. In the summer of 2012 he joined Rapid Bucharest . At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he was initially without a club, before he joined Universitatea Cluj again in August 2013. In summer 2014 he moved to FC Milsami in the Moldovan Divizia Națională . In early 2015 he joined Gaz Metan Mediaş , had to relegate with his new club at the end of the 2014/15 season . Abrudan stayed in Mediaș, but terminated his contract in January 2016. He was eight months without engagement before he hired again in September 2016 at Universitatea Cluj, which now played in Liga II.
