Odrodzenie (Polish for: rebirth ) was a Polish literary weekly. It was published in 1944 in Lublin , 1945–1947 in Kraków and 1947–1950 in Warsaw . The first editor was Karol Kuryluk , he was followed in 1948 by Jerzy Borejsza . As the first literary magazine after the end of the Second World War , it contributed to the renewal of Polish literature and gathered many important authors, e. For example, the writers Jerzy Andrzejewski , Tadeusz Borowski , Kazimierz Brandys , Tadeusz Breza , Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński , Jan Parandowski , Jerzy Putrament and Julian Przyboś as well as the literary theorists Julian Krzyżanowski , Juliusz Kleiner , Jan Kott , Artur Sandauer and Kazimierz Wyka .
