The Odulphuskerk ( German  Odulphuskirche ; also Hervormde Kerk , German Reformed Church called) is an Evangelical Reformed church in Yerseke , a district of the Dutch community Reimerswaal ( province of Zeeland ).

history

The late Gothic church, consecrated to St. Odulf of Utrecht until the Reformation , was built in the second half of the 15th century in place of an older single-nave church from the early 13th century as a large three-nave church with six bays with a transept and subsequent long choir with a five-sided choir.

In 1532 the nave burned down and was not rebuilt. The west tower, which has been free since then, was demolished in 1821. A large neo-Gothic church tower was added to the crossing in 1887. Church and tower burned down in 1940. Only the surrounding walls of the transept and choir remained. The church was rebuilt in 1948. In 1976 a basilica-shaped yoke of the nave with a portal was added to the crossing .

The reformed congregation belongs to the United Protestant Church in the Netherlands, which was established in 2004 .
