Geography and transport links

Oechtringen is located northwest of the core town of Hanstedt I. The state road 233 runs east and the L 234 west. The Oechtringer Bach, a tributary of the Schwienau, flows through the village . Not far to the west is the 12.8 ha large nature reserve Wettenbosteler Moor .
