Olaf Irlenkäuser (born May 27, 1966 in Mannheim ) is a German publicist and publishing director.

Career

After training as a retail bookseller , Olaf Irlenkäuser studied Slavic languages , German and Eastern European history in Trier , Moscow and Cologne . He was initially lecturer for Eastern European languages ​​at Suhrkamp Verlag , later for German and international literature as well as for detective novels and non-fiction books at Rotbuch Verlag . He then worked as a freelance author and editor for numerous German publishers and institutions. a. for Hoffmann & Campe , Piper , Edition Körber-Stiftung , Murmann Verlag . In 2009 he became publishing director at Murmann Verlag (Hamburg), and since 2013 he has been co-managing director of Wachholtz Verlag / Murmann Publishers.
