Paul Celan Prize
The Paul Celan Prize is a literary prize that was donated in 1988 by the German Literature Fund for outstanding translation work from French . In 1993 and 1994 the prize was not awarded. Since 1995 translators from languages other than French can also be recognized. The translation award is named after Paul Celan , the poet and translator of literary works. The award is endowed with 20,000 euros (as of 2019). From 2019 the jury will include: Karin Betz , Gabriele Leupold , Miriam Mandelkow, Gunther Nickel and Ulrich Sonnenberg .
