Olaf Lauströer

Olaf Lauströer (* 1962 in Beckum ) is a German architect and university professor .

Life

Olaf Lauströer studied architecture at the Münster University of Applied Sciences from 1983 to 1989 . From 1989 to 1993 he worked as a freelancer a. a. in the architectural offices Ortner & Ortner Baukunst in Vienna and Haus-Rucker-Co. active in Düsseldorf . From 1993 to 1998 he worked as an architect with his own office in Düsseldorf. He taught from 1995 to 1996 in the spatial design class at the Vienna Art School and from 1995 to 1996 in the architecture / interior design department at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences . From 1998 to 2005 he was professor of design in the architecture department at the Münster University of Applied Sciences and has been professor of architecture and interior design at the Dresden University of Fine Arts since 2005 . Lauströer was appointed chairman of the art commission of the state capital Dresden in 2010 . He lives in Dresden.

Lauströer has been a member of the Saxon Academy of the Arts since 2013 and has been the secretary of the academy's architecture department since June 2014.
