Olaf Olsen (born April 17, 1935 in Søldarfjørður , Faroe Islands ) is a former Faroese businessman and politician of the Fólkaflokkurin . He was a member of parliament in Løgting and a minister in two Faroese state governments .

Profession and Politics

Olaf Olsen completed his apprenticeship as a helmsman in 1959 , became a ship's master in 1965 and in 1967 he left the DTU with an engineering degree . From 1971 to 1981 and from 1983 to 1989 he was director of the fishing gear manufacturer p / f Vónin in Fuglafjørður . From 1977 to 1981, from 1983 to 1989 and from 1994 to 2004 he was also director at p / f Beta in Saltangará .
