Olaf Wegner (born February 6, 1967 in Wuppertal ) is a German politician of the Pirate Party and was a member of the state parliament until 2017 after the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 .

Wegner has been a member of the Pirate Party since September 4, 2009. His special area of ​​interest and work is social policy. He was a co-founder of the working group “Labor and Social Affairs” of the Pirate Party. For the state election he ran in the state constituency of Wuppertal II . On May 13, 2012, Wegner was elected to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in 20th place on the state list of the North Rhine-Westphalia Pirate Party . He was the spokesman for social policy and health / care policy for the pirate faction and a full member of the Committee on Labor, Health and Social Affairs and a member of the Committee on Family, Children and Youth. Wegner is a system administrator by profession. He is married and lives in Wuppertal- Elberfeld .
