Olav Christopher Jenssen

Olav Christopher Jenssen (born April 2, 1954 in Sortland in Vesterålen ) is a Norwegian visual artist and professor at the University of Fine Arts Braunschweig specializing in painting .

Among other things, Olav Christopher Jenssen attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo. He is a representative of contemporary abstract painting. Jenssen and is one of the most renowned artists of Scandinavian origin. His work has been shown around the world since the 1980s. In 1992 he took part in the Kassel documenta IX . He is also a recognized draftsman.

In 2005, Olav Christopher Jenssen was awarded the Henrik Steffens Prize by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation FVS for his special achievements in Scandinavian art .

Jenssen lives in Berlin.
