Although he ran up here exclusively for the reserve team, Dardanelspor signed him at the end of the season. He finally switched to Dardanelspor and played for the reserve team at times and also as the third goalkeeper for the professional team. So he completed two top division games in the 1998/99 season. After the club relegated to the 2nd Lig in the summer of 1999 , Çetinkaya played one season for Dardanelspor. He then spent the 2000/01 season on loan at Zonguldakspor and Karabükspor . In the 2001/12 season he played the first half of the season at Dardanelspor, but he was loaned to Gebzespor in the second half . After a final loan period to Kartalspor , Çetinkaya changed permanently in the summer of 2003 and was hired by Yıldırım Bosnaspor . He then played for various clubs in the lower Turkish professional leagues.

For the summer of 2010 Çetinkaya moves to the third division Balıkesirspor . Here he was only second goalkeeper for a long time. Only in the season 201/12 he fought for half a season as the goalkeeper post, but lost it again for the new season.
