Ole Falck Ebbell
Ole Falck Ebbell (* 1839 in Christiania ; † 1919 ) was a Norwegian architect . Ebbell designed many structures in Norway , but mainly worked in Trondheim .
Life
Ole Falck Ebbell was born in Christiania, today's Oslo, as the son of the lawyer Ole Falck Ebbel and Anna Sofie Kloed. He studied architecture in Germany and Switzerland. After working in Oslo for a few years, he moved to Trondheim at the age of 28, where he also taught mechanical engineering and architecture at the Trondheim Technical School, the forerunner of the Norwegian Technical University , from 1871 . In 1891 he was appointed director of the Faculty of Architecture. He was a member of the Restoration Commission for Nidaros Cathedral from 1882 to 1894.
His son Ole-Falk Ebbell-Staehelin became a civil engineer.
