Ole Olsen

Ole Olsen (born November 16, 1946 in Haderslev , Denmark ) is a former Danish track athlete . His focus was on speedwaysport . In total, he was speedway world champion seven times , including three titles in the individual world championships . He also won three titles with the Danish speedway team and one title at the pairs world championship with his partner Hans Nielsen . He won the title at the Long Track World Championships in 1973.

After retiring as an active driver in 1983, he served as race director at the Grand Prix of the Speedway World Championship. In 2010 he was replaced by Tony Olsson.

Olsen was inducted into the Danish Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.
