Oleg Borissowitsch Schewzow ( Russian Олег Борисович Шевцов ; born November 29, 1971 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey goalkeeper . During his career he played for HK Spartak Moscow , Severstal Tscherepowez , Torpedo Yaroslavl , HK Awangard Omsk , HK Dynamo Moscow , HK CSKA Moscow and HK Metschel Tscheljabinsk in the Russian Super League .

Career

Schewzow first played from 1989 to 1997 at HK Spartak Moscow . For the 1997/98 season, the goalkeeper moved within the league to Severstal Tscherepowez , where he played the best year of his career so far. This earned him an appointment to the Russian squad for the Winter Olympics in Nagano , Japan , where he won the silver medal with the Russian team after a 1-0 defeat in the final against the Czech Republic . He himself played as a second substitute goalkeeper behind regular goalkeeper Michail Schtalenkow and Andrei Trefilow, but not a single game.

In the following years played for five other teams in the first Russian division and one of the second division . He last played in the 2005/06 season in the Belarusian league for HK Keramin Minsk and HK Dinamo Minsk .
