Olena Demydenko ( Ukrainian Олена Демиденко ; born June 17, 1985 , † June 18, 2013 ) was a Ukrainian biathlete .

Olena Demydenko achieved her greatest international success at the age of 15, when she won the bronze medal alongside Tetjana Lytowtschenko , Ljudmyla Sahajdak and Olena Subrylowa at the 2001 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Yambrozowa with the Ukrainian women's relay behind Russia and Belarus. After that, it was only used internationally at junior level. At the Junior World Championships in 2001 in Ridanna , Demydenko was 41st in the individual, 19th in the sprint, 29th in the pursuit and with the 12th relay. In the same year, the junior races of the European Championships in Kontiolahti , in which the Ukrainian 21st of the individual, 26th . of the sprint, 24th of the pursuit and sixth in season with Tatyana Litovchenko and Nina Karassewytsch . In 2003 she ran in Kościelisko at the Junior World Championships and was 22nd of the individual, 16th of the sprint, 29th in the pursuit and ninth in the relay race, in 2005 she was in Haute-Maurienne 33rd of the individual, 13th of the sprint, 17th of the pursuit and Sixth with the season. At the junior races of the European Championships in Minsk in 2004 Demydenko came 19th in the individual and was 24th in both the sprint and pursuit races. The last international championship was the Junior World Championships in 2005 in Kontiolahti, where she was 37th in the individual, 18th in the sprint , 20th of the persecution and with Nina Karassewytsch and Olena Pidhruschna was seventh.

After her active career, Demydenko became a coach. She was found stabbed to death in front of her house on June 18, 2013, and the culprit is said to have been her now fugitive partner.
