Olena Zinovieva

Olena Petriwna Sinowjewa ( Ukrainian Олена Петрівна Зінов'єва , English Elena Zinovieva ; born June 22, 1980 in Zaporizhia , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Ukrainian weightlifter .

Career

She reached fifth place in the class up to 48 kg at the European Championships in 1999 . At the world championships in the same year she finished 15th. 2000 she won the bronze medal at the European championships . At the European Championships in 2002 she won gold in 2003 she was second at the European Championships . In the same year she was banned until 2005 for a doping violation . In 2003 she received a grant of 4000 UAH from the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma .
