Pierre-Marie-Mondry Beaudouin

Pierre-Marie-Mondry Beaudouin (born January 7, 1852 in Cellettes , † February 21, 1928 in Toulouse ) was a French Graecist and Neo-Greekist .

From 1873 to 1876 he studied at the École normal supérieure in Paris. The following year he became a member of the École française d'Athènes until 1881 . He spent a year of it in Rome . In the archives he studied documents from the time of the Venetian rule over Crete and Cyprus . During this time he also traveled to Syria , Cilicia , Karpathos and the Peloponnese . In 1883 he received his doctorate with Quid Coraïs de neohellenica lingua senserit and in 1884 with Étude du dialecte chypriote modern et médiéval . From 1880 to 1884 he taught Greek language and literature at the University of Bordeaux , from 1884 at the University of Toulouse .
