Olesja Wiktorowna Romassenko ( Russian Олеся Викторовна Ромасенко ; born January 12, 1990 in Krasnodar , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian canoeist and three-time European champion.
Athletic career
Romassenko won a bronze medal in the two-man canoe over 500 m together with Natalja Marassanowa at the 2014 World Championships in Moscow . Together with Marassanowa she won a bronze medal in the two-man canoe over 500 m at the European Championships in Brandenburg in the same year . At the 2015 World Championships in Milan , she and Maria Kasakowa were runner-up in the two-man canoe over 500 m. Two years later she was again vice world champion at the 2017 World Championships in Račice u Štětí (single canoe 200 m and two canoe 500 m with Irina Andrejewa ).
At the European Championships in 2016 , 2017 and 2018 Romassenko was the European champion in the single canoe over 200 m.
Romassenko won three times the Russian championships in the single canoe over 200 m and four times in the two-person canoe over 500 m.
