Alexander Igorewitsch Bondar ( Russian Александр Игоревич Бондарь, born October 25, 1993 in Luhansk , Ukraine as Oleksandr Bondar , Ukrainian Олександр Бондар ) is a Russian water diver of Ukrainian origin. He starts in the discipline of 10 m high diving in individual and synchronized competitions. After his marriage to a Russian woman, he started working for Russia in October 2015. After taking part in synchronized competitions with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Horschkowosow in the past , the Russian Viktor Minibayev is now his jumping partner.

Oleksandr Bondar won a total of four gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the European Junior Championships. At the European Championships in Turin in 2009 , he won his first international adult medal in the 10-meter synchronized competition with the bronze medal. Two years later, at the European Championships , again in Turin, he received his first individual medal with bronze in high diving. He was also able to celebrate the silver medal in the dubbing competition. At the 2011 European Championships in Eindhoven , he and Olena Fedorowa won silver in the mixed team and bronze in synchronized jumping.

At his first World Cup in Rome in 2009 , he was twelfth in the 10-meter synchronized competition. In the same competition he won the bronze medal with Horschkowosow in Shanghai in 2011 and also reached the individual finals from the tower, where he finished eighth. Bondar took part in the first Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore in 2010 and won the silver medal in both the 3-meter and 10-meter high diving. At his first Olympic Games in London in 2012 , he made it to the finals in both singles and synchronized jumping from the 10-meter tower, but came in last with places twelve and eight.
