Olga Nikolaevna Shcherbakova

Olga Nikolajewna Schcherbakowa ( Russian Ольга Николаевна Щербакова ; born February 19, 1959 ) is a Soviet - Russian architect and urban planner .

Life

Shcherbakova studied industrial and civil engineering in Novokuznetsk at the Siberian Ordzhonikidze Metallurgical Institute, graduating in 1979 as a civil engineer .

In 1991 after the collapse of the Soviet Union , Shcherbakova in Matvejew Kurgan became chief architect of the Rajon administration.

In 2001 Shcherbakova became vice-chairman of the committee for architecture and town planning in Taganrog . 2012–2013 she was an architect in the Taganroger construction project planning company SAO Priasowski Stroitelny Zentr .

In 2013, Shcherbakova became chairman of the committee for architecture and town planning and chief architect of Taganrog and remained so until 2016. She proposed the construction of a new building for the historic Chekhov high school, which was demolished in 2013, on the square of a traveling circus in the central market. After years of unsuccessful search for a location for the City of Military Glory stele , Shcherbakova made the radical suggestion to set up the stele in front of the entrance to the Taganrog City Council building. In 2016, Shcherbakova presented new rules for the development of Taganrog, which were criticized by the public prosecutor's office and the public for favoring commercial development.
