Olga Strub

Olga Strub (born April 2, 1950 in Basel ) is a Swiss actress who used to work in the GDR and now in the Federal Republic of Germany .

Life

Olga Strub was born in Basel as the daughter of the graphic artist and illustrator Heiri Strub (1916–2014) and his wife Liselotte (Lotti) (1919–2013). After the family emigrated to the GDR for political reasons in 1957 , they received their acting training between 1967 and 1969 in Berlin-Schöneweide . From 1970 to 1977 she was a member of the Berliner Ensemble Ostberlins and appeared in several DEFA film productions in addition to her work at the theater . One of her best-known roles was "Schiefhütchen" in Rainer Simon's fairy tale film Sixes Come Through the World . She has been working for the Ensemble of the Konstanz Theater since 2006 . Before that she performed at the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt and the Thalia Theater (Hamburg) . She worked with Ruth Berghaus , Hans Neuenfels and Jossi Wieler . Strub was also involved in the ensemble at the Staatstheater Braunschweig and the Landestheater Linz . She also worked in German film and television productions until the 2010s . In 2011 you saw Olga Strub in the film Silberkiesel - Hunkeler resigns .
