Olga Wiktorowna Sidorowa ( Russian Ольга Викторовна Сидорова ; born March 24, 1988 ) is a Russian natural toboggan runner . She has been competing in the World Cup since the 2005/2006 season , where she has been in the top ten five times so far.

Career

Olga Sidorowa took part in a Junior World Championship for the first time in 2004 , but remained without a result because she did not start in the third race. At the European Junior Championships in 2005 in Kandalakscha , she achieved tenth place out of 16 female tobogganists. In January 2006 she performed her first two World Cup races, was in Kindberg and Olang each 14th and came in the World Cup of the season 2005/2006 on rank 20. In the Junior World Championships 2006 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was eleventh, but in the 2006 European Championship in Umhausen , her first title fight in the general class, she was only 18th. In the 2006/2007 season , Sidorowa already took part in five of the six World Cup races, achieved positions around 15th and was 14th in the overall World Cup. At the 2007 European Junior Championships in St. Sebastian , she was eleventh.

In the winter of 2007/2008 Sidorowa did not contest World Cup races, but took part in the European Championships in Olang , where she was 13th, and the Junior World Championships in Latsch , where she came in ninth. It was not until the end of the 2008/2009 season that she competed again in two World Cup races in Nowouralsk and achieved her first top 10 result in the World Cup with ninth place in the first of the two races. In the 2009/2010 season she again took part in five of six World Cup races and achieved her best ever World Cup result with sixth place in the second race in Nowouralsk. With another two top 10 results, she was eleventh in the overall World Cup. At the 2010 European Championships in St. Sebastian, however, with 14th place, she was only able to place in the lower ranks, as in the last two European Championships.

In 2011 Sidorova took part in a world championship for the first time . In Umhausen , Austria , she reached tenth place. In the World Cup she started in four of the six races in the 2010/2011 season . She achieved a tenth place in Kindberg as the best result and finished 14th in the overall World Cup. In the 2011/2012 season she did not take part in any international competitions.
