Oliver Czeslik

Oliver Czeslik (born December 10, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German playwright , screenwriter and producer.

Life

Czeslik studied theater studies, philosophy and German in Giessen and Munich . He then worked as a lighting technician , actor and director at various theaters, including the Studiobühne and the Modern Theater in Munich, the Hamburger Kammerspiele and the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin .

In 1984 he started his work as a writer. Czeslik became known in 1992 through the performance of his political play Heilige Kühe at the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz under the direction of Klaus Metzger. The piece was also filmed for WDR.

Since 1993 Czeslik has been a lecturer in screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin . From 2003 to 2007 he headed the script department at S. Fischer Verlag in Berlin. As CO owner and managing director, he headed sturmunddrangfilm GmbH from 2007. Since 2018, together with Kathrin Brunner, he has been the owner of mYndstorm productions, which produces VR content and arthouse films.
