Born in Darmstädter Heil, he came to 1. FSV Mainz 05 through the youth of SV Rohrbach and SV Darmstadt 98 , where he moved up to the 2nd team . With 17 goals this season, the young attacker played a key role in the 2008 league championship and promotion to the Regionalliga West . There he played 24 games and scored eight goals. For the 2009/10 season he moved to SV Waldhof Mannheim . From there, Heil went back to his youth club SV Darmstadt 98 in the winter break of 2009/10. In Darmstadt, Heil represented a reinforcement for the storm. With four goals under the coaches Živojin Juškić and Kosta Runjaic , Heil contributed to staying up. In the following season 2010/11, at the end of which SV98 rose to the 3rd division, Heil made 24 games in which he scored twelve goals. The promotion was secured on the last match day with a 4-0 win against FC Memmingen , in which Heil scored three of the four goals. Heil remained loyal to SV Darmstadt 98 even after the promotion and was used there for the first time in the 3rd division on August 16, 2011 in the 1-0 away win at SV Wehen Wiesbaden . Heil scored four goals in 25 appearances in the 3rd division and left Darmstadt at the end of the 2011/12 season. He joined league rivals SV Babelsberg and signed a one-year contract.
