Živojin Juškić (born December 16, 1969 in Zaječar , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former football player and current coach .

Career as a player

In Yugoslavia Juškić played for Dinamo Pančevo and various Belgrade clubs, with FK Obilić he was Yugoslav champions in 1998. In qualifying for the UEFA Champions League 1998/99 he failed with Obilić at Bayern Munich .

In January 1999 he moved on loan to 1. FC Nuremberg in the Bundesliga , after which he was relegated to the second division, then to league rivals SpVgg Greuther Fürth the following summer .

In total, he played 3 first division and 10 second division games in Germany.

For the 2000/01 season he moved to SV Darmstadt 98 , where he was captain between 2002 and 2005 and played a total of 150 regional league games by the end of his career in 2007.

Career as a coach

Juškić gained his first experience in the coaching bench in the 2002/03 season as an interim coach at SV Darmstadt 98.

From 2007 he first coached the 2nd team of the "Lilien", which played in the Association League Hessen South , then the A-Juniors in the following season. Intended to succeed Gerhard Kleppinger as coach of the first team for the 2009/10 season, he replaced him on April 20, 2009 ahead of schedule. Despite a good team in the 2009/10 season, the SV98 could not achieve good results. After the end of the Hessen Cup on March 17, 2010 and a defeat against the U23 of SV Wehen Wiesbaden on March 20, 2010, which lost an important game in the relegation battle, Juskić announced his resignation immediately after the end of the game. He then became the sporting director of the Hessen division 1. FCA Darmstadt . Since the summer of 2011 he has been coaching the TS Ober-Roden club.

Today Juškić also works at the DFB in the “Talent Promotion” department.
