Oliver Laux (born March 26, 1990 in Lahnstein ) is a German football player who is mainly used in the defensive midfield.
Career
Laux initially played in the youth teams of FC 1911 Horchheim , TuS Koblenz and FV Engers 07 . In the summer of 2005 he moved to TuS Koblenz's U17s on a free transfer and went through the following youth teams and became a regular at TuS Koblenz II in 2008. In the 2009/10 season he was in the extended squad of the first team, which was in the 2nd Bundesliga at the time played. In the 2010/11 season he made his debut for Koblenz in the game against Rot Weiss Ahlen when he came on for Christian Pospischil in the 62nd minute of play . During the season he was an integral part of the squad in the 3rd division and was able to book some appearances in the league and DFB Cup before he moved to SC Fortuna Köln in the Regionalliga West for the 2011/12 season, for which he was on August 6th 2011 was used for the first time in the game against the second team of VfL Bochum . With Fortuna, he failed in the 2012/13 season as second in the table, just short of promotion to the third division. In the 2013/14 season , Laux became champions of the Regionalliga West with Fortuna and scored the decisive goal for promotion to the third division in stoppage time in stoppage time in the second leg of the promotion round against the second team of FC Bayern Munich, despite being outnumbered by Fortuna.
However, after Laux was unable to play in the fixed rotation of Fortuna Köln as hoped in the 2014/15 season, he asked for clearance for a change. In the 2015 winter break, Laux finally moved back to TuS Koblenz in the Regionalliga Südwest . With Koblenz, however, Laux could not prevent relegation to the league and left the club during the summer break. However, he stayed in the Regionalliga Südwest and signed a contract with Eintracht Trier . After one season, Laux moved to the regional league promoted Teutonia Watzenborn-Steinberg for the 2016/17 season . In 2018, VfB Gießen and Teutonia Watzenborn-Steinberg merged to form FC Gießen , for which Laux played from then on. There, his contract, which expired in the summer of 2020, was no longer extended due to cartilage damage that had been going on for a long time.
